What is Notivx?

Notivx is a note-taking app that handles everything from web information gathering to idea organization. Available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Screen Layout

Notivx has 4 tabs accessible from the tab bar at the top of the screen.

1. Home

The first screen you see when launching the app.

  • Recently Viewed: Notes you’ve recently opened, in chronological order
  • Edited: Notes you’ve recently edited
  • + New Note: Tap to create a new note
  • Notebook: Shortcut to the notebook list
  • Import: Import Evernote data from the top-right button
  • Search Bar: Search your notes from the bottom search bar

2. Notes

View and edit all your notes. On iPad, enjoy a comfortable split-view layout.

  • Note List (Left): All notes displayed with thumbnails for quick identification
  • Note Detail (Right): View and directly edit the selected note
  • Select: Batch operations (move, delete) on multiple notes
  • Sort: Sort by creation date, update date, title, etc.
  • New Note: Create a new note from the top-right icon

3. Notebooks

Manage notebooks (folders) to classify and organize your notes.

  • Notebook List: View all notebooks with note counts
  • Sub-notebooks: Create nested notebooks for hierarchical organization
  • Trash: Deleted notes are moved to Trash and can be restored
  • Search: Search notebooks by name

Configure app settings.

Creating and Editing Notes

Creating a Note

  1. Tap “+ New Note” on the Home screen
  2. Tap the new note icon in the top-right of the Notes screen

Block Editor

Notes in Notivx are composed of blocks. Combine different block types to create flexible, structured notes.

Available Block Types

Divider Visual section separator Organizing sections within a note

Block Operations

  • Add: Tap the “+” button and select a block type
  • Reorder: Long-press and drag blocks up or down
  • Delete: Swipe or use the menu to remove blocks

Tags

Add tags from the “Tag” area in the top-right of a note. Tags let you categorize notes independently of notebooks.

Undo & Redo

Use the ↩ (undo) and ↪ (redo) buttons in the top-right while editing.


Web Clipping (Safari Extension)

Notivx includes a Safari Extension that saves web articles to your notes with one tap.

Enabling the Safari Extension

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to Safari → Extensions
  3. Find “Notivx” and turn it On
  4. Optionally select “Allow on All Websites”

Saving a Web Page

  1. Open the page you want to clip in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Select “Notivx”
  4. The article is automatically extracted as a clean, ad-free version

The original URL is also saved, so you can always return to the source page.


Embedding SNS Posts

Embed posts from major social networks directly in your notes.

Supported Platforms

YouTube

  • Embed videos with thumbnail, title, and channel name
  • Watch via the “Watch” button
  • Video snapshots are automatically saved

X (formerly Twitter)

  • Embed posts with text, images, and hashtags
  • Account information is preserved

Instagram

  • Embed posts with images and captions

How to Save

From any SNS app or Safari, tap the Share button and select Notivx. You can also paste a URL directly.

Notebook Management

Creating Notebooks

  1. Open the “Notebooks” tab
  2. Tap the management icon in the top-right
  3. Select “New Notebook” and enter a name

Sub-notebooks (Hierarchical Organization)

Create notebooks within notebooks for hierarchical management.

Moving Notes

Tap “Select” in the note list, choose notes, and assign them to a different notebook.

Trash

Deleted notes go to Trash, where they can be restored or permanently deleted.

Basic Search

  • Enter keywords in the search bar
  • Searches note titles and content
  • Full support for multiple languages including Japanese, Chinese, Korean

OCR Search (Premium)

Search text inside images and PDFs using OCR (Optical Character Recognition).


iCloud Sync

Automatically sync all notes across iPhone, iPad, and Mac via iCloud.

  • All changes sync automatically
  • Attachments are included in sync
  • Data is securely stored in Apple’s iCloud

Verifying iCloud Sync

  1. Go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud
  2. Confirm “Notivx” is turned On
  3. Ensure all devices use the same Apple ID

Migrating from Evernote

  1. Export from Evernote: Export your notes as .enex files
  2. Import to Notivx: Tap “Import” on the Home screen and select the .enex file
  3. Done: Notes, tags, and attachments are migrated together

Tip: For large libraries, export and import notebook by notebook.


Backup & Restore

Creating a Backup

  1. Open the “Settings” tab
  2. Select “Backup”
  3. A .pnbak file is created
  4. Choose where to save it (iCloud Drive, Files app, etc.)

Restoring from Backup

  1. Open “Settings” → “Restore”
  2. Select your .pnbak file
  3. All notes and notebooks are restored

Note: Restoring overwrites current data. Back up your current data first.

Q. What can I do with the Free plan?

A. Create up to 50 notes with full block editor, web clipping, SNS embedding, iCloud sync, and full-text search — all for free.

Q. Can I view notes on other devices?

A. Yes. Sign in with the same Apple ID and enable iCloud sync to automatically sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Q. Can I migrate from Evernote?

A. Yes. Export .enex files from Evernote and import them into Notivx to migrate notes, tags, and attachments.

Q. What is OCR search?

A. A Premium feature that recognizes text inside images and PDFs, making them searchable.

Q. Is my data secure?

A. Notes are securely stored in Apple’s iCloud. You can also manage your own backups with the .pnbak format.

Q. What happens if I cancel Premium?

A. Your existing notes remain. However, if you have more than 50 notes, you won’t be able to create new ones. Premium features like OCR and video saving become unavailable.

Q. Which devices are supported?

A. iPhone, iPad, and Mac. We recommend the latest versions of iOS/iPadOS/macOS.
